Dr. Denise Acosta, DMD
Owner Dentist
Dr. Denise Acosta grew up in Elyria, Ohio on the west side of Cleveland and graduated from Elyria West High School in 1992. She then ventured onto Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York and earned a B.A. in biochemistry. Dr. Acosta gained real world work experience as a pharmacology research assistant at UK College of Pharmacy in Lexington, Kentucky. She then went onto UK College of Dentistry earning her D.M.D.
Once moving to the area in 2005 Dr. Acosta worked at Neighborhood Health Clinic for 13 years and spent the following 5 years in private practice in Fort Wayne and Leo.
These days Dr. Acosta calls Decatur home. She has two sons, Quentin and Alton, four cats, and one wonderful boyfriend, David. You can often find her with the boys at the Monroe baseball fields, Adams Central Marching Band competitions, or 4H events.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Acosta enjoys swimming, reading, bourbon tasting, and live music. She is also a member of the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society and American Dental Association.
Lynette
Hygienist
Lynette has been a hygienist since 1989. She loves educating her patients as well as helping them have a wonderful cleaning experience and a sparkling smile!
She grew up in Northern Wells, IN and loves the outdoors, gardening and “birding”. She loves interior design as well. She is a cyclist and spends time on walk/run activities. She has a daughter, Aarika, and a son, Peyton, who live in Fort Wayne. She is also the fur mom of 3 cats and a dog, Benji.
Ashley
Hygienist
Ashley is a proud graduate of Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne and has been a certified Dental Assistant since 2006 as well as a licensed Dental Hygienist since 2014. She brings experience in dental research and community involvement with Matthew 25 and Sonrisas Siempre in Comayagua, Honduras. She has also worked as a teacher at Indiana University Fort Wayne in dental assisting since 2017. She is always learning and expanding her dental knowledge to best serve her patients.
She is an avid runner and enjoys participating in races. She enjoys the art of stained glass and loves to travel.
Becky
Front Desk
Becky has been working in customer service since 1991. She has had the privilege of working at Broadway Dentistry for the last 10 years. Helping patients is what she values most in her job.
In her time away from the office she loves gardening, reading, holidays, music and cats, who bring her joy. She plays the piano as well. She loves cooking with her husband of over 30 years and spending time with family and friends. She believes a sense of humor can clear up any rainy day.
Zuzu
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, EFDA
Zuzu has been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant since 2022 and loves what she does.
When she is not at work, you can usually find her traveling, hanging out with her family, or spending time with her fur-babies. She has three cats and two dogs who definitely keep life interesting. She also loves to bake and try out new recipes.
Kristin
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, EFDA
Kristin has been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant since 2013, with additional roles learned throughout the years. She absolutely loves what she does and the joy of talking with our patients is the best part of her job.
When she is not working, she loves to be outside enjoying her yard, playing with her three year old son, or walking her two dogs. Her favorite color is teal.
